A series of documentary photographs and video show female friendship, acceptance, and the ways in which social perceptions can distort the understanding of relation between women.
The photos show women riding in a boat. Their figures don't appear directly, instead, they seen through shifting reflections on the lake water.
This reflection becomes a metaphor for the image of female friendship exists within the patriarchy public consciousness, the assumption that women are incapable of genuine friendship and that competition, envy, and rivalry are inevitable between them.
Through the serie, I show that it is the external perception - not the real relation themselves - that is distorted.
